MARK MILLER
OWNER/LICENSED OPTICIAN

Mark began his optical career in Long lsand, New York as an apprentice in his grandfather’s practice. Shortly after, Mark went on to work at London Optical where he obtained his Ophthalmic Dispensing License.

In 1977, Mark relocated to Maple Shade, NJ where he obtained his New Jersey Ophthalmic Dispensing License. On June 8, 1978 he fulfilled a lifelong goal by opening “See and Save” at the Pennsauken Mart, that same year he opened a second location which then grew into a third.

Mark also opened a family owned chain in the Bucks County area that served the community for 30 plus years. After selling his Bucks County stores, Mark is very excited about this new chapter with Eye Love Eyewear in Philadelphia.

JASON BALTER
CO-OWNER/MANAGER/OPTICIAN

Jason began his optical career at the age of 13 in the Northeast Branch of Glasses Galore. In 1994, Jason graduated from college with a degree in Ophthalmic Science Technology and went on to work at Glasses Galore in Fairless Hills.

In 1989, Jason went on to manage the newest location of Glasses Galore in Newtown, where he continued to serve the community for 30 years. In 2017, Glasses Galore was sold and Jason then decided he wanted a business of his very own.

Jason is a Philadelphia native who loves the city and is ecstatic about his new chapter with Eye Love Eyewear.

JOYCE MILLER
CO-OWNER/OPTICIAN

Joyce graduated Temple University in 1973 with a degree in Elementary Education. After happily marrying Mark, Joyce decided to join in on the family business. Working alongside her husband, she began to take on more responsibility in the business decisions and frequently worked in the stores as a stylist consultant.

Joyce’s passion for her degree in Elementary Education and her love for her grandchildren inspired her to become an author of two children’s books, “Sweet Old Sadie” and “Invisible Jim.”

Joyce is excited about this exhilarating new chapter with Eye Love Eyewear.

DR. JIN GAO
OPTOMETRIST

Dr. Gao is a China native who traveled to the U.S. to join his family in 2006. Jin is tri-lingual knowing English, Mandarin, and Fujianese. Jin graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and then pursued his Doctorate of Optometry at Salus University and graduated in 2017.

Jin is local to the Philadelphia area and is dedicated to giving back to the community that helped him achieve his dreams and gave so much to him. His hobbies include running, embracing Chinese culture through literature, and spending time with his newly growing family.

KRISTIN DISANTIS
ASSISTANT MANAGER/OPTICIAN

Kristin started her optical career at the age of 18 in a corporate optical chain. Kristin’s love for Optometry grew and she decided to pursue her degree in Ophthalmic Science Technology.

In 2013, Kristin went on to work at Glasses Galore and stayed with the family owned business for 5 years until it was sold. During this time, Kristin became a mother and decided she wanted to work closer to home, which is when she joined the Springfield Opticians family. In June 2019, Kristin graduated with her degree in Ophthalmic Science Technology and is continuing on to obtain her licensure in Opticianry.

When Eye Love Eyewear was in the beginning stages, Mark reached out to Kristin and offered her a position. Kristin is very excited to be back in the family and excited for her new chapter with Eye Love Eyewear.

HEATHER JORDAN
OPTICIAN

Heather started her optical career at a young age by occasionally joining her step mother, who was the manager of Glasses Galore in Fairless Hills for trunk shows, filing, and other odd jobs. Heather graduated in 2008 with her Cosmetology License. From there, she worked in a hair salon but decided to switch career paths from a hair stylist to a frame stylist.

In 2012, Heather joined the Glasses Galore family in the Southampton Branch. She worked with the family for 5 years but in 2016, Heather had her youngest daughter and wanted to stay at home with her. In this time she began to pursue a degree in Business at Penn State University.

In 2018, Heather joined the workforce once again, for a small optical practice in Warminster but discovered her old friends and optical family were opening Eye Love Eyewear. Heather is very excited to begin this new chapter in the city with them.
